DELIVERING AI MAGIC
AI is taking the world by storm with groups such as Midjourney and OpenAI sweeping the headlines. In the middle of this innovation wave is Miro AI. Miro has created a truly one-of-a-kind tool that analyzes photo and video from a variety of sports. From there they allow you to identify, tag, and catalog what matters. They are leaders in athlete and brand recognition and processed 24M+ assets in 2022. The Miro Team was an absolute blast to work with during Pokatok Labs Cohort One, and we recently had the chance to sit down and discuss their experience.

“THIS ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE A REAL THING”
The Miro team has been hard at work, and we sat down with co-founders Taylor Host, Evan Kroft, and Jamie Wilde to catch up and reflect on cohort one. Taylor shared that as a startup you are often placed on email lists from groups vying for your attention, but Pokatok Labs stood out. Evan shared “This felt a little more close to home than a lot of the others, for us that is a great sign because we were looking to dip our toe into the American sports tech community”. Upon admission to the program and spending a few days with our team, Miro liked what they saw. Taylor felt that Labs Kickoff proved that we are “at a very high level, all about advocacy“.

SPORTS FOCUSED
Miro’s goal in joining the cohort aligned with our mission, creating the world’s largest sports network. Evan shared that talking to investors focused and interested in sports “is refreshing”. With these sports world connections made, Miro is looking ahead. “We are focused on video, we are heavier in that, our plans to expand are going well” Evan shared. Taylor added “We are in the process of preparing for a 2023 that will allow us to expand our market… It’s been a big year“. We can’t wait to see what is next for Miro, and we’ll leave you with the words Taylor left us with. Miro team, the feeling is mutual.
